The California Mastitis Test (CMT) is a rapid, accurate, animal-side test to help determine somatic cell counts (SCC) in a specific cow and Buffalo.
The test was developed to sample individual quarters to determine the presence of subclinical mastitis.
A cow with subclinical mastitis does not have abnormal looking milk or other clinical signs such as a swollen or painful udder. That can be easily identified through this test.
PC is providing this facility through Facilitator. Facilitator check the animals at their doorstep every fortnighly. PC is making available Tri sodium Citrate (TSC) Powder and EVM to treat the Mastitis cases without using Antibiotics.
